Here are some guidelines on filing your income tax return
Start by checking the figures to make sure that all of the information is correct.
If all of the information entered in the tax return is correct and you do not wish to make any changes or additions to it, you can approve it. In some cases, you will need to enter some additional information – for example, if you are a business owner or if you have sold a residential property or some shares.
If you just wish to approve your tax return, you can file it in the following ways:

Find your codes listed in the annexe “Specifications: Income tax return 1” (“Specifikation till Inkomstdeklaration 1”)

Follow the pre-recorded instructions. You can choose to be given the instructions in English. Wait until you hear a message read out to you, confirming that your tax return has been filed. This message will be saved so you can call back and listen to it again if you like.
You can always send us your tax return by post. If you only need to approve it, all you have to do is sign the form. If you have to change or add any details, you also need to enter a new figure for the sum total in the white box.

If any of the details in your income tax return are incorrect, you need to contact the party responsible for providing accurate information to the Swedish Tax Agency, such as your employer. Once the relevant party has submitted the correct details to the Swedish Tax Agency, the information will be updated in our e-service and the Skatteverket app. You will then be able to file your income tax return using our e-service or the Skatteverket app.
When details have been changed in your income tax return, you cannot file it by calling or texting us. If you file your income tax return using a paper form, you need to correct the details yourself since we will not send you a new paper tax return form.
No. If you file your tax return using our app or e-service, or via a text message or phone call, you do not need to send us a paper copy of your tax return.
Yes. You have to file a tax return even if you have already paid your tax.
