The Swedish Tax Agency’s operations are affected by increased global mobility and digitalisation. To address these issues, we collaborate with tax agencies in other countries, and take an active role in various international forums.
We engage in international collaboration on both an operational and strategic level.
Our operational collaboration includes exchanging information with other countries to help determine taxes correctly and to combat tax evasion and crime. Our strategic collaboration includes knowledge sharing and working with other countries to develop our operations.
Besides collaborating with tax authorities in other countries, we also collaborate with various organisations, including the EU, the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), the Intra-European Organisation of Tax Administrations (IOTA), and Nordic Agenda (“Nordisk Agenda”): a cross-border collaboration initiative on tax issues. The Swedish Tax Agency also participates in Sweden’s development aid programme, and contributes to strengthening the capacity of tax administrations in developing countries.
You will find examples of our various collaborations listed in the menu.
