A person’s identity is a key that enables them to take part in society. It’s essential for accessing vital services such as healthcare, education and social welfare. Over the past few years, the Swedish Tax Agency has been collaborating with other public authorities, both in Sweden and abroad, to combat identity-related crime.
One example is “Follow the Identity” – a joint educational film project run by the Nordic countries. The project was developed as part of Nordic Agenda (“Nordisk Agenda”): a cross-border collaboration initiative on tax issues.
Four films have been created to raise awareness of the value of an identity, the impact of identity-related crime on society, and how we can work together to recognise and prevent it.
The films are in English, with subtitles in English and the Nordic languages. The Swedish Tax Agency is responsible for the English and Swedish subtitles. The other Nordic countries are responsible for the subtitles in their respective languages.
