If you block unauthorised change of address notifications, you must use the Swedish Tax Agency’s e-services if you need to register a change of address or notify us of a special postal address. The Swedish Tax Agency will therefore carry out verification checks on any notifications we receive on paper.
Please use this e-service if you would like to submit address-related notifications to us securely, using your Swedish e-identification rather than filling in paper forms:
Only private individuals can use our e-service “Block unauthorised change of address” (“Spärra obehörig adressändring”). Companies are not permitted to use it.
You must be at least 18 years old to use this e-service.
You are the only person who can block or unblock unauthorised change of address notifications, and you must use your Swedish e-identification to do so. It is not possible to activate or deactivate a block by phone, letter or email.
If you are going to move, and you have blocked unauthorised change of address notifications via our e-service “Spärra obehörig adressändring”, you must submit a change of address notification via our Swedish e-service: “Flyttanmälan”. You should not submit a paper form. If you wish to register a special postal address, you should also do this via our e-service “Särskild postadress” rather than on paper. The Swedish Tax Agency will carry out verification checks on all such notifications we receive – other than those submitted via our e-services.
Then use the free address lock e-service (“Adresslåset”) provided by Svensk Adressändring (the Swedish change of address service) to block any unauthorised forwarding or storage of your post.
When you have blocked any unauthorised change of address notifications, any family members living at the same property as you can still register a change of address for you if they have Swedish e-identification. A family member could be: your spouse, registered civil partner, child, parent, or cohabiting partner (if you have had children together), for example.
If you have a secure digital mailbox for communication from public authorities, you can now choose to receive a message if any change is made to your listed address in the Population Register. This free service is a fast and secure way to ensure that your registered address details are up to date.
Through your digital mailbox, you can opt to receive a text message or an email when you receive mail from the Swedish Tax Agency and other public authorities.
